Hey guys! As I mentioned before, your next composition will be based on the picture posted bellow. You should make up a story to set this scene and also give an ending. It’s basically the same as you did in class, but now it’s individual and I want you to tell this story focusing on the use of the narrative (past) tenses we studied on File 3A. Good luck! =D
P.S.: due on Monday (19.05) M/W group and next Saturday (24.05) Sat group
Pronunciation is definitely important! April 17, 2008

Hey guys, here are the videos we watched yesterday when we were talking about the importance of pronunciation in English.
1) I would like to buy a hamburguer
Here’s another interesting one. In order to understand it, you’ll have to know the meaning of the verb “to sink”. I hope you like it! =D

Hey guys, I was checking your compositions about the Universal Remote Control and I must say that Lucas Cavalcante (Upper1-M/W) did such an excellent job that I decided to post his work here. Here’s his inspiring poem:
Utopia
Imagine yourself
Controlling the life
And everything else
You think is allowed.
You bet I would change
The laws of phisics,
Astronomy, chemistry
And mathematics.
Giant purple roses,
Sweet grapes in trees
Growing for free
From instant seeds.
I could also fix
Their minds so “retro”
And the bitter imperfect
Natural flow.
Perhaps travel in time
Looking for something new
With my powerful fourth
Dimensional view.
No more than you’re needing,
No less than you’re wishing
Nations in peace
Together living.
This could be my world
And everyone else’s
If I had control
Over the whole Universe.
Lucas Cavalcante – Upper 1 Student

Hello everyone! Although we didn’t have enough time to watch all presentations and despite the fact that the room was completely crowded, it was really cool! I enjoyed very much the presentation about The Beatles and we also had some nice things from teacher Ercilia’s group. Unfortunately, not everyone stayed to watch the last presentation, which was beautifully performed by Lyziana, Gabriel, Stanley and Hermani. Sorry, but I have to say you missed an amazing and creative work about London and its magical sights! Anyway, here are some photos:

Hey guys, you did a great job yesterday at our project presentations about Britain. Personally, I learned many new things about the British automobile industry, rock, tea and sports! So, WELL DONE! P.s.: special thanks to the great performers Luã and Lucas (sounds like a “Sertanejo” duet, doesn’t it???) lol
